My wife and I have worked with GreenStar Contracting several times over the past 5 years. Initially, Jim Doppelheuer and his crew successfully transformed an outdated kitchen into a very attractive, functional and spacious area in our home as part of a renovation project we started shortly after moving to this area.  Included in the project was also a major redesign of the master bathroom.  It has served us quite well over the years.  Most recently, GreenStar turned two closets adjacent to our guest room into a bathroom/shower addition that not only provides privacy and comfort to visitors but has significantly increased the value of our property.  Jim is flexible and able to adapt to changes as they come up during projects.  He uses subcontractors that are excellent at their respective trades.  Additionally, GreenStar provided us with very competitive bids among the various contractors we met with during the planning stages.  We would certainly consider using GreenStar again when the need arises for other home improvement needs.

Thank you, also, for leaving the house neat and clean at the end of each work day.  The converting the bay window into a door leading to the patio, refinishing of the screened porch ceiling, the repair of the front door, the removal and installation of new toilet fixtures, the improvements to refrigeration and water lines, the removal and installation of a new dishwasher, and the painting done to both interior and exterior surfaces pleases us.  We are also extremely happy with the changes, additions, and repairs.

I thought you might like to see a couple of photos of the new garage decorated for Christmas.  Now that the weather is getting colder I am grateful to have my car kept nice and warm for me overnight. 

 

The garage looks great and I get comments constantly from the neighbors telling me how well it matches the house and how great it looks.  It’s incredible that you guys were able to do such a fantastic job from a simple drawing with no blueprints or architectural drawings.

I have to admit that I was fearful and nervously anxious when I hired my fourth (but thankfully final) contractor to complete a whole house remodel.  Most of the people I had dealt with up to then turned out to be either shoddy or shady and all I had to show for my time and money was a botched, incomplete job.  Then one day, after sharing my story of woe, a neighbor recommended Greenstar Contracting.  So with both hope and dread I called and arranged for site visit.  Jim Doppelheuer came to the house and did a complete walk through and carefully explained his findings.  He noted the cupping in my brand new wood floors might indicate the need for a vapor barrier in the crawl space, my air conditioner was struggling to cool the house because much of the ductwork was disconnected, a new footing would be needed to halt the cracking in my exterior wall, and a whole host of lesser problems.  None of this was good news, but I commend Jim for laying it all out for me to consider so that I could make an informed decision.  I accepted the estimate and work was started within a few days.  Throughout the course of the repairs, Jim was a consummate professional.  He was not only accurate in his initial assessment of the scale of my job, but the work was meticulously performed, within the estimate and time frame promised.

 

I can recommend Jim Doppelheuer highly and without reservation to anyone considering remodeling work in their home.  If you want a job done right the first time, Greenstar Contracting is the company to do it!

If you are looking for someone to do your work at the best price and excellent workmanship, Greenstar is your choice.  Jim and Charlie Doppelheuer are easy to work with and listened to all our ideas and made all of them work.  Very efficient and reliable.  If they said they were coming at 8:30, they were here at 8:30.  They made sure they cleaned up each day when they were finished.  I will be calling them in the future for any other updates to our home.  It was great working with them.
